Venue:
The Workshop will be held in the hotel Balneario Playa de Comaruga at the coastal village of Comaruga, 70km south of Barcelona, with easy connection by train from the airport. Talks will be given from 8:00 to 12:00 noon and from 15:00 to 19:00 in the afternoon/evening. Some presentations will be of a tutorial nature, some will review the current state of microwave research, and some will report original results. Informal meetings and discussions between and after the sessions will be encouraged and facilitated.
Topics of Interest Include:
– Interaction of microwaves with matter
– General theory of microwave absorption and reflection
– Microwave absorption by magnetic particles in a dielectric medium
– Advanced materials for microwave absorption (carbon nanotubes, graphene, nanostructured and multilayered materials, etc.)
– Geometrical enhancement of microwave absorption
– Microwave shielding and stealth technology
– Applications of microwaves
Anticipated Local Expenses by the Participants:

– July is a high tourist season in Costa Dorada. Special rate for the Workshop participants will be provided by the hotel:
Euro 115 per single room per night with breakfast and lunch (or dinner) or Euro 130 that includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.
